Six Ray High School football players and head coach Willie Jordan were selected to play and coach in the Arizona Football Coaches Association All-Star Senior Bowl, which will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Duncan High School. The game is scheduled is for 6:00 p.m.
Destry Yocum, Seth Harmon, Jacob Pace, Robbin Newman, Steven Lucero, and Jose Raul Torres are the six Bearcats who will be playing in the game.
Gilbert Christian’s Larry Cain and Pima’s Jace Hancock will serve as head coaches in the All-Star game. Both teams reached the semi-finals of the 2014 state playoffs.
Five of the six players were named AIA All-Division last season, including Yocum, Pace, Harmon, Newman, and Torres while Steven Lucero was named AIA Division VI All-Section IV First Team.
Bearcats’ head coach Willie Jordan was selected Coach of the Year in Section IV.
