Copper Town Area Little League All-Star Tournaments Scheduled to Begin

Little League organizations throughout the Copper Town area recently announced their All-Star teams in advance of district tournaments that have completed or will start this week. The following list the available schedules for the area teams.

Pinal Mountain Little League

10-12 Softball Results

The Pinal Mtn. All-Stars defeated Mt. Graham in a best two-out-of-three series, winning consecutive games last week to claim the Arizona District 11 Championship. Pinal Mtn. now advances to the state tournament, which will commence on July 6, 2016, in Fountain Hills, Ariz. 9-10 Baseball

Host site:  Duncan LL

Tournament start:  June 20, 2016

First game and time:  June 20 vs. Kearny @ 7:30 p.m.

Other teams:  Kearny, Duncan, Mt. Graham, Morenci-Clifton, Hayden

9-11 Baseball Results

The Mt. Graham All-Stars defeated Pinal Mtn. in a best two-out-of-three series, winning consecutive games last week, including a one-run nail biter in game one, to claim the Arizona District 11 Championship. Mt. Graham will compete in the state tournament, which will be hosted by Arizona District 10 in Yavapai County.

11-12 Baseball

Host site:  Pinal Mtn. LL

Tournament start:  June 23, 2016

First game and time:  June 23 vs. Kearny @ 5:30 p.m.

Other teams:  Kearny, Morenci-Clifton, Mt. Graham, Hayden and San Carlos

San Carlos Little League

8-10 Softball Results

The Morenci-Clifton All-Stars defeated San Carlos in a best two-out-of-three series, winning consecutive games last week to claim the Arizona District 11 Championship. Morenci-Clifton moves on to the state tournament, which will be hosted by Arizona District 1 in Northern Arizona.

11-12 Baseball

Host site:  Pinal Mtn. LL

Tournament start:  June 23, 2016

First game and time:  June 24 vs. winner Morenci-Clifton/Mt. Graham @ 7:30 p.m.

Other teams:  Kearny, Morenci-Clifton, Mt. Graham, Hayden and Pinal Mtn.
