The seventh-ranked Ray Bearcats celebrated their Homecoming in style last week, winning their fourth game-in-row by defeating rival Hayden, 32 – 6.
The ‘Cats are averaging almost 37 points per game during their winning streak while allowing fewer than 20 points per game.
With the win over the Lobos, the Bearcats are now 4 – 1 on the season with two of their three remaining games against teams ranked in top ten, according to rankings released by the Arizona Republic.
The Bearcats host fifth-ranked Gilbert Christian this Friday and host third-ranked Mogollon next week. The next two weeks are certain to impact the Bearcats playoff seeding as the regular season winds down.
For now, this week’s game versus the Knights in the most important. The ‘Cats will be looking to make a late season push for a higher playoff seeding while attempting to avenge last year’s playoff loss at Gilbert Christian.
Friday’s game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
