It is once again time for the San Manuel Library Board Election.  This year two of the five seats on the board are up for election.  All card holders 18 years and older may vote for any two of the candidates at the library from January 29th through February 4th. Following are brief statements from each of the candidates:

Ronnie Butler:Ronnie Butler has been a Board Member and Treasurer for the past 8 years. He has also served as a volunteer for several years.

Pat Collins:At age 5, I became a patron of San Manuel Library, acquiring a lifelong love of reading. As a retired English teacher/reading specialist, I now volunteer in the library. I would be honored to serve on the library board as we maintain this valuable resource for San Manuel.

Verne Fischer:I feel the San Manuel Library is not just a convenience, but a necessity for our community. People in our area have many needs that the library provides such as education, aid for employment, information, and direction to solving problems. I would like to continue my efforts as a board member in enhancing this aid for the community.

Sharon Matthews:My name is Sharon Matthews. I have a deep love of libraries. I worked in the school libraries and college libraries. Later I worked for New Mexico State University at Grants as the assistant librarian. I would love to be on the board and more involved in the policies and procedures.
