Santa made a stop at Family First Children and Parents Christmas Party which was held at Living Word Chapel.

Family First is so proud of Tamara Cano for sponsoring a food drive at Mountain Vista School for the Tri-Community Food Bank. Great Job and thank you for all the food that was donated.

Having recently paused for the Thanksgiving holiday, we want to express our deep gratitude to all the people who have donated canned and dry food for the food bank in November. A special thanks to our volunteers who faithfully work in both centers. We also thank those who helped make 2014 our most successful year with your time, donations, and prayers. Merry Christmas to all and Blessings in the New Year!

Did you know you can reduce your Arizona Tax liability by making an end of the year donation to Family First which qualifies for the Arizona Charitable Organization Tax Credit up to $200 for individuals and $400 for a married couple filing jointly. This gift must be received before Dec. 31 to qualify. Changes in the law this year: Use EZ form to receive your credit!

New volunteers are always welcome, if interested this would be a great time to get started. On Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, there will be a Volunteer Workshop from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will be provided. A workshop will be presented on Love and Respect. If you care about people and want to help, this would be a great way to start the New Year.

Our center activities continue Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in Oracle from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Story Time for moms and tots is every Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Material assistance is available by taking a class. Our new curriculums for improving better parenting skills for fathers and for parents with toddlers are proving very helpful.

For further information on our services or to sign up for the workshop, call us at 520-896-9545 or check us out at www.familyfirstpcc.org.
