Pastor’s Corner: Put God First in Your Life; Live for God

In Daniel chapter 3, we read of three great heroes of the Bible – Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.  They respectfully spoke to the king and said:  “we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter.  The God we serve is able to save us, and He will rescue us from your hand.  But, even if He does not, we will still obey Him and not you.”

In Jeremiah 29:11, God says that He has plans for each of us.  These are plans of prosperity, blessing and a wonderful future.

The reality of it all is based on our obedience to what God has declared and required of us.  It is not about what we want, but about what the Lord desires to see happen in our lives.

When we put God first in our lives, He will bless and protect us.  Let the choice for your life be to honor and obey the Lord God Almighty.  Live as these three men did, for God!
