Barbara Hope Wingard

  Barbara Wingard, 79, passed away on May 30, 2017, surrounded by her family. She will be forever loved and missed always.

  Barbie was born on Aug. 24, 1937 to Hazel and Jasper Martinez in Durango, Colorado. She was the youngest of five children. She loved to paint, make and repair jewelry, go to the movies with her husband, Quentin, and play her 5 spot on the Keno machines at the casino.

  She met and fell in love with Quentin Wingard on April 21, 1981 and they were married on Feb. 26, 1982. They resided in San Manuel and later moved to Winnemucca, Nevada, in 1995 where they both worked in a casino. In 2014, they moved back to Arizona and resided in Oracle.

  Barbie is survived by her husband of 35 years, Quentin; sisters, Judy and LaVonne, both of Texas; children, Tammy, Pamela (Phillip), Kimberly and Kevin (Hannah); grandchildren, Jessica (Joey), Jason (Stephanie), Dillon, Emilee, Travis (Megan), Nathan, Madison and Makayla; great-grandchildren, Richie, Daniel, Mia, Ava, Alexa, Joe, Adriana, Marissa, Tristan, Ryan, Jason Jr., Landon and Liam.

  A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 17, at 11 a.m. at Living Word Chapel in Oracle. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Living Word Chapel or Casa De La Luz.
