Frank Victor Mesa

  Frank Victor Mesa, 71, passed away in Phoenix on Oct. 14, 2016, having lost his battle with cancer.

  He loved spending time with his family and friends, rodeo riding, leather work and gardening.

  He is survived by his sisters, Margaret Salazar and Mary Helen Vance; daughter, Mercedes Mesa Castanon; son-in-law, Tony Castanon; stepson, Adrian Coddington; and grandsons, Marcus Romero and Andrew Mesa.

  After graduating from high school, Frank entered the U.S. Navy in 1963 and was honorably discharged in 1967. He started working in March 1980 with Pinal County as a heavy equipment operator and retired with them after 33 years of service in May 2010.

Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery. Services will be held on Nov. 26 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 490 Main St. in Superior.  A lunch at St. Mary’s Center on Sunset Dr. will follow the graveside services.
