Carnival pre sale tickets are in and can be purchased at the chamber office. There are no longer bracelets. What we do have are Mega Cards which are eight rides for $5 and sheets of 40 tickets for $25. The other discount tickets for Thursday and Sunday have not yet arrived.
If interested in a Pioneer Days t-shirt you must pre order. The t-shirts this year are dark gray with an illustration of the hand cart wagons which were pulled across country by family members rather than horses or mules. Small to XL are $12 and $1 extra for each X above XL. Pre sales are available till Feb. 19. Individuals as well as business are encouraged to purchase an ad for the back of the t-shirt. Jean Slater Hamilton and Nancy Hinojos are collecting the ads.
Be sure to purchase Queen tickets. The activities for the year are dependent upon tickets and carnival pre sales. Local merchandise vendors are encouraged to get your applications in now. Booth space is assigned on a first come first served basis.
Don’t wait for the last minute to get parade ideas going. The theme “Celebrating our Heritage” is easy to plan. This area is full of history. Feature your own family as part of the local heritage.
It is time for the annual business meeting and COY presentation. This year the dinner will be at the West End Banquet Room. RSVP to Angela at the chamber office by Feb 19. Check for menu and price in next week’s Copper Basin News.
