Pastor’s Corner: Reflecting God’s perfect love

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

In 1 Timothy 5:22 we are told, “do not share in the sins of others – keep yourself pure.”  Romans 6:12 tells us:  “do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires.”

God has great mercy, love and compassion for each of us.  It is our personal choice to walk with God or without Him.  Sin is anything that violates compromises or ignores God’s rules of character and conduct.

To make it easy for us, it was all written down in an ancient book called the Bible.  Purity is to live in obedience to all God asks and requires.  Sin takes people from bad to worse, deceiving everyone in its path.

Jesus’ death on the cross provided the freedom we need to live a life free from sin’s control.  We no longer need to let wrong passions and desires live in us.  Let God’s Holy Spirit live in and through your life.  Walk in His love and compassion.  That way, you won’t be praying along with Ezra when he said, ‘I am to ashamed to face You, my God.’  Let your life reflect God’s perfect and holy love.
