In 1 Corinthians 10:13 we read, “No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful, He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. When you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.”
Every sin is common among humans. There is no new sin, because someone has already committed it before. Since we were created to honor God, we must not offend Him with our actions or words.
Not only are each of us tempted, even Jesus was tempted to sin. Is it wrong to be tempted to sin? No, it is not. If it was wrong, then Jesus would have been guilty of sin, but He never sinned. Temptation only becomes sin when we submit to it.
When it becomes too hard to say no, as it says in Titus 2:12, God provides a way out. Water heaters have a relief valve for those times when the pressure becomes too great. So do we! God will show us, if we ask Him, for a way to escape from the desires to sin.
Thank Him for helping you to stay away from sin. He loves you so much, He will help in any way possible to not fall into a life of sin. What an awesome God!
