SUPERIOR – Join ONEBOOKAZ 2015 author Marcia Fine at Superior Public Library, Tuesday, April 28 at 2 p.m. as she discusses her award winning eBook and her writing process.

  Fine’s winning eBook, The Blind Eye: a Sephardic Journey, is about two women in different centuries explore their identities in this sweeping narrative about a family expelled from Spain, connecting forward across time to a modern woman of Cuban descent.

  The other winning ONEBOOKAZ entries are:

• Teen category: Dan Trumpis (Sun Lakes) forWelcome to Harmony; a fantasy about a tween wolf moving to a new town where his is not the only family with something to hide.

• Kids category: Gale Leach (Sun City West) forBruce and the Road to Courage; Bruce the caterpillar who runs away from home to avoid becoming a butterfly and finds friends and misadventure along the way.

  The ONEBOOKAZ titles are available online at no cost to Arizona residents at www.onebookaz.org through BiblioBoard. The eBooks are available on e-readers for Android, iOS and Kindle Fire HD.

Marcia Fine grew up in South Florida during the 1960s with a love for books and learning. A former high school English teacher, business owner, and motivational speaker, she began writing in 2000 after her daughter’s wedding. Marcia, now living in Scottsdale, is the author of several award-winning books, including her first novel, Gossip.com. James J. Hodl is a career journalist who has worked for newspapers, magazines and trade journals. A graduate of Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism, Hodl began his career as a reporter with the Palatine (IL) Herald and the Morton Grove (IL) Review before becoming editor of the trade publication Appliance Service News. In recent years, Hodl has had articles published in Consumers Digest, Good Housekeeping, Home Remodeling, Kitchens & Baths and Salute; and has contributed to trade publications serving the home furnishings, restaurant and casino markets. A native of Chicago, Hodl relocated to San Tan Valley in 2013.
