Library to host computer classes

Superior Public Library in partnership with Copper Corridor Economic Development Coalition and Oasis Institute, is offering Introduction to Computer Classes. OASIS Connections is an evidence-based technology curriculum designed for adult learners. Connections classes help tens of thousands of students stay in step with today’s technology through partner organizations such as libraries, job help centers, adult living facilities and faith-based communities.

Classes will be held at Superior Public Library on Wednesdays from 10 am – 12 noon beginning Nov. 5.

Topics include:

Nov. 5: Basics of using the computer and Internet

Nov. 19: Learn about windows, the desk top and scrollbars

Dec. 3: Microsoft Word

Dec. 17: Internet basics; browsing web, links and searching

Jan. 7: Sign up for Google mail and learn how to use it

Jan. 21: More email etiquette, organization and contacts

Please sign up at the Superior Public Library. Hours are Monday through Thursday noon to 6 p.m. For questions call 520-689-2327. Classes require a deposit of $10 which will be refunded after a completed survey at the Jan. 26 class. Open to the first six people who sign up and pay the deposit.
