In 2 Chronicles 25:2 we read, “Amaziah did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, but not wholeheartedly.” Yet, we see in Isaiah 1:19, “If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land.”
Jesus, on the cross, told us that He had finished the work that Father God sent Him to do. Obviously, king Amaziah did not feel the same way or care about it. He did not do his very best or even his best.
James 4:17 says that when we don’t do what we know we should be doing, we are sinning. God speaks to us in Revelation 2:2, “I know your deeds, your hard work and perseverance.”
God is watching! He knows what He wants and expects us to measure up. Be willing to do your best. Go the extra mile and bless someone. Do your best for the Lord and He will give of His best to you.
