Superior Skincare is a rather new business and to some it may be a hidden service provider in the Superior business community.  Jill Albertson opened Superior Skincare in the fall of 2015, she started this business after being a teacher for twenty years in Idaho.

When she began looking at her post retirement life, Jill knew that she wanted to help people to relax, learn about wellness, recharge and most importantly she wanted people to find comfort in her services.  After being a teacher for all those years she set out to learn how to become an licensed aesthetician.  She is trained to offer facials, waxing, skin peels, dermaplane treatments, body wraps and facials for the feet, hands and back.  She provides clients with a peaceful place of relaxation, in fact before any treatment is started Jill creates an atmosphere of relaxation and calm before a treatment even starts.  Her prices are affordable for almost any budget, eyebrow waxes start at $10 and facials starts at $35.

The “Nest” as Jill calls it is tucked away inside Sole to Soul Awakening on Magma Ave.  Appointments are required to ensure that ample time is made available for the treatments and relaxation.  The “Nest” is not your typical spa setting. In the nest, you will find soft blankets, chairs and pillows, relaxing music and scents.  You will leave feeling relaxed and recharged.

Jill had been wanting to retire to Arizona from Idaho, there wasn’t any particular reason, she just knew that Arizona is where she wanted to spend her time.  She and her companion Bird, ventured south and rented home in Superior for two winters before actually buying a home in Superior and starting Superior Skincare.

“We drove over Gonzalez Pass and saw Superior, and we were in love,” she said.  Jill plans to spend nine months out of the year here in Superior enjoying the community and growing her business.

Her advice to fellow business owners and future entrepreneurs: “A lifetime is very long. It is okay to change professions. Stay passionate and always be open to new ideas.  Most importantly be honest with yourself when deciding what you want to focus on.”

Jill is determined to help people receive the skin care they need at affordable prices. “People need comfort; it is my mission to ensure that people can have comfort when they receive my services,” she said.

Author’s note: If you are looking for an almost completely painless eyebrow waxing experience, Superior Skincare is the place to go!  The Nest is most definitely a place to relax.
