Bearcats’ winning streak snapped

The Ray Bearcats boys’ basketball had its five-game winning streak snapped after a loss last Friday at San Carlos, 62 – 58. It was the third meeting of the year between the schools.

The ‘Cats winning streak included a 4 – 0 record at the Wildcat Booster Boys’ Holiday Tournament which was held January 3-4 at Mayer High School.

The Bearcats enter the second half of the season with an overall record of 11 – 6, including 3 – 1 in section play. They are currently tied for 2nd place in their section.

The ‘Cats will play at Mogollon on January 17, 2014 before returning home to battle Hayden on January 21. Both games tipoff at 7:00 p.m.
