The Ray baseball team improved 5-0-1 following a 16 – 1 victory against San Manuel last Friday.
Anthony Lopez went 2-for-3, including a double, with a team-high three RBI. The Cats pounded out 11 hits, including five extra-base hits – Lopez’ double in addition to doubles by Jaden Pace, Derek Figueroa and Cody Hickingbottom. Fabian Valenzuela, a senior, hit his second homerun of the season.
Figueroa, a freshman, earned the victory, recording a five-inning complete game. He surrendered an unearned run on two hits with 13 strikeouts.
