Superior Police Department

  According to state law, police may arrest suspected offenders by two methods. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damage amounts are estimates.

May 3

  Joseph A. Gomez-Silvas, 31, Superior, was arrested in the 200 block of Heiner Dr. and was charged with criminal damage/DV (domestic violence) and disorderly conduct. He was also arrested on a Pinal County warrant. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail in Florence.

  Violation of a court order was reported in the 500 block of Kiser St.

  Violation of a court order was reported in the 200 block of Garrott Ave.

May 5

  Theft was reported in the 1000 block of Edna Ave.

  Vandalism was reported in the area of Kiser St. and Stone Ave.

  Calls not listed include traffic stop (34), disturbance (7), information (2), agency assist (1), civil matter (2), field interview/follow up investigation (3), town code violation (2), welfare check (7), alarm drop (1), fraud (1), citizen assist (2), medical (1), suspicious activity (3), fire (1) and animal complaint (2).
