Santa and Mrs. Claus on Santa’s Sleigh-for-the-day, a Superior Fire Truck
For the last 11 years, the Superior Fire Department has committed itself to making sure every child in Superior has a toy for Christmas. Firefighters give up to an average of 1,200 toys per year. They need your help to ensure they can continue to honor that commitment.
Santa drives around Superior atop a Superior Fire truck on Christmas Eve for approximately six hours, stopping every time a child comes out to greet him and giving them a toy. The fire truck that carries Santa is outfitted with over 5,000 Christmas lights and the snow machine.
The department is seeking donations of $2 – $5 toys, gift cards or check to ensure that no child who comes out to greet Santa will be disappointed.
The difficult economy has made your support even more important.
