Ray High School is celebrating Homecoming this week with a variety of activities including two class reunions.
The annual parade will start at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 with the usual route starting at the library, up Tilbury and across Alden. Students have been working all week on the annual float competition using the theme of Action Movies.
The Bearcats will host arch-rival the Superior Panthers with kick-off at 7 p.m. and the 2015 Homecoming Royalty will be crowned at halftime.
Royalty this year includes Queen, Gabrielle Juvera, King, Jonathan Wernett, Junior Attendants, Kami Ratliff and Jonah Cude, Sophomore Attendants, Isabella Mendoza and Francisco Martinez-Lopez and Freshmen Attendants, Tara Loroña and Romeo Williams-Varley.
The Class of 1985 is holding its 30 year reunion. Plans include meeting at the GKI after the game with a dance starting at 9 p.m. On Saturday a four-wheel adventure will begin at 10 a.m. with a gathering at Cactus Video. That evening classmates and families can enjoy the Rotary Club steak dinner at the GKI from 5 to 7 p.m. with more dancing starting at 8 p.m. A family picnic at the Dunn’s residence in Kelvin will round out the weekend.
The Class of 1995 will be celebrating 20 years beginning with a family cook-out after the parade on the RHS campus and an after game party at La Cantina.
