Pastor’s Corner: Choose Life in Jesus

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

Galatians 5:1 tells us:  “For freedom Christ freed us.  Stand fast therefore and do not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”  Stand fast:  a firm, fixed position.  Entangled:  to involve difficulty, confuse, perplex, ensnare or complicate.

We, as believers must be solid in our faith and spiritual walk, unwavering against the storms of life and the pitfalls of human nature.  Yet, it seems normal for us to back down from confrontation and act as if nothing has happened.

Humanity can be very complex, making life difficult.  But Christ Jesus, if we acknowledge His death on the cross, has set us free from all those problems.

Once our Lord has rescued us, we are warned to not go back to our former problems.  We are now free to choose – so choose life in Jesus, abundant and free,  life in the Spirit!
