Oracle Run 5K, 10K has been set for Oct. 23 in Oracle

Oracle, AZ –  The 39th Annual Oracle Run is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021 and will include both 5K and 10K races.This event is an independent friendly competition held to benefit the non-profit Oracle Historical Society.

  This popular race begins at the Acadia Ranch (Oracle Historical Society Museum), 825 Mt. Lemmon Highway. Runners will traverse cool mountain desert terrain at an elevation of 4,500 feet. It is a tough run over rolling hills which has been enjoyed by world class runners, as well as amateurs from all over the state and other parts of our country.

  Registration fees for both the 5K and 10 K run are $40, if received by Oct. 9, $55 thereafter.   Entry fees include an Oracle Run T-Shirt featuring the work of a local artist. This year is a painting created by Rick DemMont, from Oracle and Tucson. If you do not want to run, but would like to purchase a t-shirt you can download form from https://www.oraclehistoricalsociety.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/2021OrderFormShirts.pdf, then print it out and mail it in along with your check to the address listed above. Shirts are $30 for short-sleeved and $45 for long-sleeved; these prices include shipping. You must place your order by Saturday, Oct. 9. Any orders received after this date will not be processed.

   Due to COVID-19 restrictions, in-person pick up is not available. All shirts will be mailed after Oct. 25. For more information about the shirts, email oraclehistoricalsociety@gmail.com

  Awards will be given to 10K overall winners in men, women, seniors and masters champions divisions. 10K awards for age divisions will also be presented. In the 5K overall awards for men and women will be presented for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Additional random raffle prizes provided by local merchants will be drawn at the end of the race.
