While both Marty McIntosh, police chief of the Mammoth Police Department, and Patsy Large, clerk for the Town of Mammoth, tendered their resignations, both have said that they are not leaving their positions.
In an interview with the San Manuel Miner, McIntosh said he had been considering retirement. But after speaking with members of the Mammoth Town Council, he withdrew his letter of resignation. He said, "The issue has been worked out and we are moving on.”
Large said she had not withdrawn her letter, but was staying on at the council's request.
“Council members have asked me to stay on longer and I have agreed to do so," she said.
