Since losing back-to-back games against Mountain Ridge and Ft. Thomas, the Ray girls’ basketball team has won four-straight games and done it in a dominating fashion.

The Lady Cats scored 94 points against Miami on Dec. 9 and scored 73 against Superior last Saturday. Their average margin of victory in their last four wins is nearly 47 points per game.

In a 56 – 25 victory against Hayden last Tuesday, Shelby Yocum recorded a double-double with 29 points to go along with 16 rebounds. The freshman sensation also had four assists and six steals in the win.

Junior Savannah Rodriguez contributed 15 points and combined with Yocum, the duo accounted for more than 78 percent of the Lady Cats’ points in the game.

Julie Meza and Ema Alvarado each had four steals, accounting for eight of the team’s 17 steals in the game.

Upcoming schedule: Jan. 3 at Globe (7 p.m.)
