Joseph ‘Bud’ Sullivan

  Joseph “Bud” Sullivan, 83, passed away June 15, 2017 in Kearny, AZ in his home with his family.  He was born on March 28, 1934 in St. George, Utah to Gordon and Blanche Beckstrom Sullivan. 

  Bud was 6th of 9 children, and lived in Utah, where he met his wife Linda J. Reid and when he was transferred to California in 1959 they got married in 1960.  They lived in Bell Gardens, California where they had two children, and then moved to Arizona in 1972 to the Kearny area, then Bud and Linda had four more children.  Bud worked at ASARCO smelter for 35 years, before retiring. Bud was an avid reader and after retirement spent his time volunteering for the local food bank.

  Bud is preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Blanche Sullivan, his son Todd Sullivan, his brother Gordon Wes, and five sisters: Emma, MaryAnn, Carol, Maxine and Rita. 

  Bud is survived by his wife of 57 years, Linda; sons, Kevin Sullivan, Reid (Gael) Sullivan and Paul Sullivan; his daughters, Michelle (Moon) Mullins and Nicole (Eddie) Baca; his brother, Paul Sullivan; his sister, Margaret Lackner; his grandchildren, Bethany, RJ, and Allen Sullivan, Melissa and Vincent Sullivan, Alicen and EJ Baca, Joshua and Jocelyn Miramontes, Ethan Sullivan, and Jessie and Joe Crocker.

  Services will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the LDS church in Kearny, AZ, with visitation at 11 a.m. and funeral service at noon. A reception will follow at the church.
