The Arizona State Board of Nursing recently released 2015 annual pass rates for nursing assistant training programs throughout Arizona. There were approximately 4,491 first-time candidates in 2015. Candidates are required to score a minimum of 75% on the written exam and 80% on the skills test to pass and become a Certified Nursing Assistant. The 2015 Arizona average first-time pass rate was 86% for the written exam and 76% for the skills test.

Gila Community College’s Gila Pueblo Campus in Globe had 44 nursing assistant students test in 2015 with 95% passing the written exam the first time and 86% passing the skills test the first time. The GCC Payson Campus had 31 nursing assistant students test in 2015 with 90% passing the written exam the first time and 87% passing the skills test the first time.

Gila Community College congratulates their students and their instructors for these outstanding results. CNA Instructor, Anjanette Bolinger, says “we instructors here at Gila Community College strive to provide the best educational experience for our students. The nursing assistant program is the foundation for all nursing in our community, and the nursing students have and will continue to lead with strength, compassion, and love.”

The next Nursing Assistant (NUR 100) classes will be offered this fall. Anjanette Bolinger will be teaching NUR 100 Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesday from 8:30 am to 11:20 am, August 22nd through October 12th at the Gila Pueblo Campus in Globe.
