I, Bobby Smith, am seeking reelection for the Town of Hayden as your Mayor, I do not do this lightly, nor should you cast your votes lightly. There has been a lot of work done over the last year and a half, and there is a lot left to do. With new personnel, we dedicated most of our time to getting the Town’s budget under control, by paying more than two and a half years of past due and late bills. Due to decreased revenue, many cuts were made with a heavy heart. The Town is now a place where we can look forward to a better future. With decreased sales tax and property tax revenue, this will still be a challenge.

Due to the drastic increase in Town revenue, I have also assumed the title of Town Manager. This is a non paid position and is very challenging. I have gained a lot of knowledge in the operations of the Town. I feel that I, now, have the experience to lead the Town in the right direction and I welcome the challenges.

I have served the community for many years as a Little League coach and board member. I was elected to the Hayden/WInkelman School Board in 2002 and served until 2012. I have served the community on the Hayden Fire Department since 2007. I was elected to the Town Council in 2012 and was elected Mayor in 2014. I serve the community, because I care about the community. I have lived here my entire life and now my three children and five grandchildren live within the community. I work a full-time job and spend almost all of time off working for the Town, its employees and the community I was elected to serve.

I am asking the voters of Hayden to let me serve you again as your Mayor, so we can move forward and Start to clean up the Town to make it  better and safer place to live for everyone We will need to look for ways to increase our revenues and boost our economy. There will be changes coming and the town needs to keep moving forward.

With your help and involvement the Town can and will move forward to a brighter future. The best way is to know what is going on in the community is to get involved and know the facts. I have and will always be very transparent and I have an open door policy. Please call me with any questions or concerns: (480) 353-8653.

Thank you and please re-elect Bobby Smith as Mayor for the Town of Hayden, Arizona.

/s/ Bobby Smith
