The Ray baseball teams scored 14 runs in the first inning of last Friday’s game at San Carlos and 12 more during the last two innings on its way to a decisive 26 – 1 win, the Bearcats’ third of the season.
Senior Charlie Romero led the Cats’ offensive attack with three hits and five RBI. Jordan Pace hit a triple and drove in four runs in the win. Noah Warren had a hit and four RBI while sophomore Morgan Bray (two hits) and senior Anthony Acuna, who doubled in the game, each drove in three runs.
Senior starting pitcher Brett Fackiner picked up his first win of the year after pitching a one-hit complete game. The only run he allowed was unearned. He walked two and fanned nine Braves’ hitters in the 68-pitch outing.
