Jesus ‘Chuey’ Berumen

  Jesus “Chuey” Berumen, 67, of Superior, AZ, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021.

  Chuey was born Oct. 28, 1953 in Ray, AZ to parents Jesus and Amilia (Hillian) Berumen and was raised in the area with his brothers Gary and Joseph and sister Kimberly.  Chuey was a graduate of Ray High School and worked as a mechanic in the mining industry for ASARCO. He also had the opportunity to work in China and Guyana. He loved collecting any old car he could get his hands on. He held people and things closest to his heart.

  Chuey is survived by his wife Desiree Berumen, children Heather (Manuel) Ceniseros, Andrea (David Pino) Berumen, Matthew (Alicia Serrano) Berumen; his step-children, Andre, Latoya, Sean, Joseph, and Gerston; His brothers Gary (Annette) Berumen and Joseph Berumen, and sister Kimberly Berumen. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren, and 3 step great-grandchildren.

  There will be a public visitation for Chuey on Oct. 16. 2021 from 10 a.m. – noon at the Superior Funeral Home. Services will be private. Chuey will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery after services.
