Josephine Ann “Jo Ann” Brady, 79, died on Jan. 14, 2021, at home, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Brady was born on Nov. 16, 1941, in San Diego to Raymond and Balvina O’Neil. The family moved to Hayden in 1945.

One of her early highlights was when she shared the stage with her high school crush, entertainer Pat Boone.

Upon her high school graduation she attended Arizona State University and later dental hygienist school. She moved to Casa Grande in 1970 and began her career as a dental assistant. She was involved in Business and Professional Women for many years and served as president as well as being BPW Woman of the Year.

She loved to collect turtle items and wear bright, bold colors. She loved being social and always made people laugh. Family was the most important part of her life, and she loved to spend time with them, traveling to Texas and San Diego to visit grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She loved to travel with family and friends, visiting New York, Alaska, Vancouver, Canada, Mexico and Hawaii, to name a few places.

She is survived by her mother, of Casa Grande; a daughter, Stephanie of Texas; two sisters, RoseMarie McKee and Beverly Sharp of Casa Grande; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, and her father.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, private family services were held on Saturday, Jan. 23.

Donations may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

  J. Warren Funeral Services in charge of arrangements.
