Kearny Police Report – Oct. 18, 2017

  According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates.

Oct. 10

  An accident without injuries was reported in the area of S. Hwy. 177. 

Oct. 12

   Assault was reported in the 300 block of Alden Rd.

Oct. 13

  Criminal damage was reported in the 400 block of Hartford Rd.

  Calls not listed include: ambulance request (4), agency assist (3), animal/cattle complaint (2), suspicious activity (2), traffic stop (15), alarm drop (2), trespass (1), abandoned vehicle (1),disturbance (2), vacation house check (1), civil problem (1), information (1), welfare check (2), 911 hang-up (1) and utility problem (1).
