Dorothy Ann Cline, 84, entered into rest on April 14, 2024, at her home in San Manuel surrounded by family and friends. Dorothy was born in Douglas, Ariz., on Oct. 11, 1939, the fourth of five children of Henry William Fritz and Grace Clara Wolfram.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Diana and her grandson Richard.

She is survived by six children, Donna Husted (Terry) of Absarokee, MT, Donald “Mike” Cline Jr. of San Manuel, Darwin Cline of White Bluff, TN, Denise Cline of Absarokee, MT, Douglas Cline (Tiffany) of San Manuel, and Damon Cline (Erica) of Augusta, GA; nine grandchildren, Kimberly, Melissa, Justin, Robert, Brian, Lexi, Logan, Alex, Lukas, Chad and Angela; and nine great-grandchildren, Allison, Quincy, Sadie, Mackenzie, Sinatra, Lindzey, Damian, Benjamin and Persephone.
Dorothy grew up in several ranching and farming communities in eastern Arizona and western New Mexico before the family settled in the then-new mining town of San Manuel in 1955.
The Arizona native graduated from San Manuel High School in 1957 and reared seven children in the Tri-Community area with her husband of 64 years, Donald “Don” Michael Cline Sr., who preceded her in death in 2020. The two were married in Nogales, Ariz., on Nov. 26, 1957.
Known for her free-spirited and fiercely independent personality, Dorothy was an avid rock hunter who enjoyed making custom jewelry, spending time at the rodeo grounds, hunting, and exploring the back roads of the San Pedro Valley with her dogs. In her later years she worked as a sous chef at the Biosphere 2 complex for 13 years, from 1988 to 2001.
Funeral services were held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests friends make a donation to the charity of their choice. Cremation remains to be spread throughout the San Pedro Valley.

The family was assisted by Oasis Cremation & Funeral Care, 1687 W. Prince Rd #101, Tucson.
