Beatrice R. Arvizu

  Beatrice R. Arvizu was born on Aug. 13, 1926 in Los Angeles, CA to Ernesto and Armida Romero. She entered into Heaven on Oct. 13, 2016 in Mesa, AZ in her daughter’s home, peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. 

  She resided in Superior for the majority of her life. 

  She was preceded in death by siblings, Arthur (infant), Raul, Sophie Carrisoza, Ernesto Jr. (Veto) Arthuro (Punga), Lucy Ruiz, Salvador Ruiz and Gustavo.  She is urvived by her children, Gloria Arvizu-Thompson (Eli), Maria Gomez,  Elouise Medina, Angel and Christine (Steve Sanchez).  She is grandmother to eight, great-grandmother to 19, great-great-grandmother to 10.  She is survived by four siblings, MaryLou Mendoza, Danny Romero (Annie), Roxanna Cota and Minnie Denogean.  She is adored by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

  Tuca, as she is known to all, was a kind, loving, giving woman.  Her laughter was infectious.  She had a gift to words in all her letters or notes that she wrote.   She gave such joy to her children and grandchildren. She loved the occasional margarita.  Her hope was to dance in Heaven.  Dance with the Angels. Mama, the image will bring a smile to us all.

  Funeral services for Beatrice will be Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Superior, AZ, with a viewing at 9 a.m.; the Rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m., and Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Superior, AZ.  A luncheon will be hosted at St. Mary’s Center, Superior, AZ.
