Gary Frederick Briegel

Gary Frederick Briegel, 80, died peacefully in his sleep on Oct. 4, 2016 in Superior, AZ.

  He was born June 7, 1936 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Carl and Ina (Brumbaugh) Briegel and was married Oct. 12, 1962 to Dixie Lee (Peterson).

  He is survived by his wife and their four children, Brant (Michelle Rush), Bryan (Lisa Montini), Victoria Eisenbeiser (Kurt) and Clay (Patrice Stewart);  seven grandchildren, Brianna, Logan, Megan, Courtney, Alanna, Benjamin and Adam; a sister, Judy Keene; and many cousins and several nieces and nephews.  

  Gary attended Perry Nursery School, Mack Elementary, Slauson Jr High, Ann Arbor High, Eastern Michigan University, the University of Michigan, and Lawrence Tech, he served in the U S Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict, was employed as a mechanical engineer, retiring from Ingersoll Rand in 1997.  A gifted designer and builder, he loved downtown A2, music, art, concerts, museums, traveling the world, Boyce Thompson Arboretum, and volunteering in his community, Superior AZ.  

  In accordance with  his wishes there will be no services.  Cremation has taken place.  Memorial Donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity.
