Polly E. Padilla

  After a lengthy battle with cancer, Polly E. Padilla, age 57, of Mesa, AZ, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2016, surrounded by friends and family at the Casa De La Luz Hospice in Tucson, AZ.

  Polly was born on Dec. 5, 1958, in Tucson to parents Edward and Stella Padilla of Winkelman, AZ.  She is survived by brothers Joe of Landvetter, Sweden, and Frank Padilla of Winkelman and sisters Lydia Ortiz of Apache Junction, AZ and Pat Padilla of Mesa.

  Polly attended elementary school in Winkelman and graduated from Hayden High School in 1976.  She later moved to Mesa where she worked for many years as a medical health administrator.  Polly was an avid sports fan who loved rooting for the Phoenix Suns, Arizona Cardinals and Diamondbacks, and her beloved ASU Sun Devils.

  Services will be held on Saturday, June 18, at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hayden, AZ.  Church doors open at 9 a.m. and the eulogy will begin at 9:20.  At 9:30, the Rosary will be recited followed immediately by a Mass.  At the conclusion of Mass, interment will be held at the Kearny Cemetery in Kearny, AZ.

  Following interment, a luncheon will be held at the air-conditioned Dudleyville Multi-Generational Center at 4004 N. Dudleyville Rd, Dudleyville, AZ.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Casa De La Luz Hospice in Tucson, AZ.
