paul Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu and several of his deputies have been named in a civil rights complain filed with the US District Court of Arizona.

Casa Grande, AZ – Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu’s Congressional District 1 campaign announced Wednesday that all its election paperwork has been corrected and properly filed. The campaign staff fixed errors in paperwork and ensured the financial disclosure form was filed. The campaign also announced it hired one of the nation’s leading election law firms to handle legal issues.

Caplin Drysdale, a Washington, D.C., law firm which includes Trevor Potter, a former Federal Election Commission chairman, will provide legal guidance to the campaign going forward. The financial disclosure form, filed late, will be available from the Clerk of the U.S. House.

“Bringing on a firm with such great experience ensures paperwork mistakes aren’t made in the future,” campaign manager William Conner said. “The vast experience of Trevor Potter and his team will be a welcome addition to our campaign. Now, we can focus our energies and attention on issues that matter to the daily lives of Arizonans.”

Conner added: “We wanted to let voters know about our paperwork mistake and assure them we have taken all actions necessary to correct this oversight and ensure that we are well-organized and meet all deadlines in the months ahead.”
