If you are an early holiday shopper, check out the items that will be available this weekend at the Copper Basin Chamber of Commerce farmers market and swap meet. You will find some good ideas for those gifts you need for friends or relatives who like homemade gifts. The last two events had a variety of homemade items as well as pastries. Drop by between 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, uptown Kearny.

Small Business Day is Saturday, Nov. 28. Shop locally and avoid the crowds.

Before you know it December will be here and the rush is on. The Electric Light Parade and Winter Festival is Saturday, Dec 5. Candy Land Visions is the theme and lots of great ideas come to mind for an entry. Marching groups, bicycles, individuals, clubs and organizations are encouraged to enter. Start early collecting ideas, making props, testing lights.

Choral groups can start practicing their favorite songs in preparation for entertaining the crowd assembled on Alden Rd.

Again vendors will be in the mall area selling their merchandise and can apply for vendor space.

If you have a great idea for additional activities, drop by the Chamber office and let Angela know.

Children can get their wish lists ready for Santa.

Love Lights and Luminarios will ready for sale the night of the Winter Festival and will be displayed Friday, Dec 18. Be thinking of those special people you want to honor during the holiday season.

Shop Local!!
