walked into the arms of the Savior on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015 at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Ralph was born Nov. 19, 1946 in Ajo, Arizona to Delbert and Lois Pebworth. He graduated from Ajo High School in 1965 and was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968.

He married his high school sweetheart, Joan Williams, on Sept. 14, 1968. The family has made their home in the Kearny area ever since. Ralph was a retired pipefitter, having worked at the Ray Mines for about 31 years.

Ralph was a faithful member of the Church of Christ and a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who enjoyed taking his children and grandchildren camping, hunting, and fishing. Another special joy was watching cartoons with his children and their friends.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 47 years, Joan; his son, Ty (Veanna) of Cornville, Arizona; daughter, Terra Ballard of Kearny; four grandchildren, Katelyn and Allison Ballard of Kearny, and Brook and Ethan Pebworth of Cornville; and one niece and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Charles and sister Quintilla.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to: Manuellito, Navajo Children’s Home Inc., Gallup, New Mexico 87305-0058.

Services for Mr. Pebworth will be held Saturday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m. at the Church of Christ, 200 Hammond Rd., Kearny.
