Our Father in Heaven, has called out little brother, Gilbert Z. Cruz, to heaven on Aug. 30, 2015. He was 53 years old and was born on March 9, 1962. He resided in Hayden (San Pedro) Arizona all his life.

Gilbert (Sammy) at a very young age knew and could sing with a strong voice, every Mexican song that was out there at that time. He loved music and listening to his radio. He also loved fishing, hunting, camping, playing basketball and baseball when he was in little league. Gilbert had a soul that was king, loving and giving, with a warm smile, which will be dearly missed.

He was a 1981 Hayden High School Graduate and from there went on to attend Central Arizona College, where he received a certificate of completion for “Automotive Mechanic” on Dec. 19, 1984. From there he also received his “Associate’s in Applied Science Degree” on May 9, 1985 for Automotive Mechanics Technology.

Gilbert is survived by his sister, Beatrice Munoz of Hayden; brothers, Ray Cruz of Hayden, David Alatorre of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Johnny (Lydia) Cruz of Phoenix, AZ, Richard and Francisco Cruz both of Hayden, Arizona.

Preceded in, Life after Death, by both his parents, Juan and Frances Cruz; sisters, Lydia Cruz, Gracie Escalante and Terri Bracamonte; also by his niece, Adriana Cruz.
