US 60 Oak Flat construction project adding lane closure for August 22

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

Motorists using US 60 between Phoenix and Globe should plan ahead and consider alternate routes as the Arizona Department of Transportation continues construction work to build a passing lane and widen roadway shoulders east of Superior.  Construction crews will be working from 9 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 22, to 4 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug.23.  During that time, US 60 will have a lane closure and pilot cars will escort drivers through the work zone (mile post 241 – 242).

Drivers are asked to use caution, expect lane closures, watch for construction equipment and personnel, and allow extra time for your commute.

ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
