St. Bartholomew’s to host Fiesta de la Primavera

San Manuel, AZ – Come to Fiesta de la Primavera on May 1, at St. Bartholomew’s Church located on the corner of North Main Street and Park Avenue in San Manuel for all-day wholesome family fun. Don’t forget to bring your raffle tickets.

There will be local entertainment, dancers, dancing, games galore and more, beginning with Mass at 10 a.m. and ending with you dragging your tired tootsies home at 10 p.m.

 Come see the Fiesta King and Queen crowned at noon. The candidates are Issia Ramirez, Angelique Maldonodo, Benito Chavez and Mia Gonzales. The booths will also open at noon, featuring arts and crafts, tasty Mexican and American food and fun games.

At 1 p.m., a blind draw horseshoe tournament will take place. Cost is $15 per player. Following at 2 p.m., Ballet Folklorico Alma de Superior perform and Los Implekados will play. Afterward, starting at 7 p.m., there will be a free dance in the parish hall.

More entertainment will be provided by locals The Cardells and folk singer John Huntington of Huntington Chiropractic in Oracle.

Across the street, the Knights of Columbus will host their second annual co-ed softball tournament at the San Manuel softball field. The cost is $120 per team along with two 12-inch softballs. A large screen TV will be raffled during the tournament. Contact Caesar Zazueta at (520) 390-2655 for details.
