Kearny Police Report – Aug. 9, 2017

  According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates.

July 31

  An unattended death was reported in the 500 block of Sen. Chastain Dr.

Aug. 1

  Tyler L. Rasmussen, 21, was arrested in the 300 block of Danbury Rd. and was charged with criminal damage. He was issued a summons.

  An unattended death was reported in the 400 block of Mountain View Dr.

Aug. 4

  Erin Keeney, 23, was arrested in the area of Tilbury Dr. and Hartford Rd. and was charged with criminal damage. She was cited and released.

  Burglary was reported in the 400 block of Jamestown Rd.

Aug. 5

  An unattended death was reported in the 300 block of Airport Rd.

  Calls not listed include: ambulance request (11), citizen assist (5), agency assist (3), animal/cattle complaint (1), suspicious activity (1), welfare check (1), traffic stop (3), juvenile problem (2) and disturbance (1).
