Emetria Rios ‘Emie’ Munoz

  Emetria Rios “Emie” Munoz, age 76 of Miami, Arizona passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at her residence.  

  She was born in Hayden on March 3, 1943.  She was the daughter of Angela (Duarte) and Santiago Rios.  She was a homemaker.  

  Emie was preceded in death by her parents, Angela and Santiago Rios; her husband, Joe Ybanez Munoz; her children, Joseph Munoz and Lorraine Marin; her brothers, Manuel Rios, Santiago Rios and Vince Rios; her sisters, Maria Verdugo, Helen Aguirre, Carmen Rios and Jenny Avery.  

  Emie is survived by her daughters, Lisa Corona and Aurora Carbasco of Miami; her brothers, Joe Rios of Kearny, Tom Rios of Chandler, AZ and Pete Rios of Dudleyville; her sisters, Ruth Aguirre of Tucson and Angie Huerta of Mammoth; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

  Services were held Friday, May 24, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hayden. Interment of ashes was at Mountain View Cemetery in Hayden.
