Copper Town Days festival, car show kicks off with Friday dinner and dance

San Manuel, Arizona The Copper Town Association., in conjunction with the Elks, kicks off the sixth annual Copper Town Days on Friday, Oct. 9, with a dinner and dance at the San Manuel Elks.

A steak dinner, with potato, salad, tea or coffee will be served from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Dessert may be available for an additional charge. Following the delicious meal, live music, by IMAGINE, will be played from 8 p.m. – 11 p.m.

For tickets and information, contact John Ekert at 520-309-1903. Leave a call back number if he is unavailable. Prices are $15 per person for dinner and dancing, $10 for dinner only, and $7.50 for the dance only.

The Elks and the Copper Town Association are extending this invitation to everyone who wish to attend and help them kick of the 5th Annual Copper Town Days Celebration.

Entertainment including the Cardells, Genaro Moreno (Mammoth’s own Mariachi) and Fred Terry and Ric Volante will take center stage at the sixth annual Copper Town Days, set for this Saturday, Oct. 10, in San Manuel.

Last year the event moved to a new venue at the San Manuel Elks Lodge, located at 143 Eighth Ave., across the street from Sun Life Family Health Center.

The event is billed as an open house of sorts, a street festival to celebrate the Tri-Community and its close relation to the copper industry. There will be a full day of fun on Saturday including food, games for the kids, a 50/50 raffle, live entertainment, car show and a dance in the evening. Festivities begin at 11 a.m.
