Arbizo, Barragan to advance to State Hoop Shoot

   On Saturday, Jan. 6, the Kearny Elks were represented at the East District Hoop Shoot Contest with the six first place winners from the local Hoop Shoot Contest.  The Elks are proud to announce two first place winners and two second place winners.

Ariana Arbizo 1st place in 8 and 9 girls

Mia Barragan 12 – 13 First place

    Two shooters brought home the first place trophy, in the 8 and 9 girls, Ariana Arbizo, and in the 12 and 13 girls, Mia Barragan. These two girls will compete in the State Hoop Shoot contest in Apache Junction on Feb. 17. If they win there, they will go on the Regional Shoot in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

Paul Gather 10-11 boys, second place

Brooklyn Lechuga 2nd place 10-11 girls

  Placing second are: Brooklyn Lechuga, 10-11 girls, and Paul Gather, 10-11 boys.

  Kearny Elks are very proud of these fine shooters and congratulate them on their fine basketball shooting.
