West Flagstaff pulled out the heavy lumber Monday night to defeat the Kearny Majors All-Stars in an elimination game at the 2015 Arizona State Baseball Tournament in Claypool. West Flagstaff, the District 1 champion, defeated District 14 champ Kearny, 15 – 1.

West Flagstaff cranked a number of home runs in the lopsided victory, taking a 6 – 1 lead at the end of the third. They scored nine runs in the fourth to account for the final score.

Kearny lost 6 – 4 against Arrowhead in its first-round game, which set up the elimination matchup with West Flagstaff on Monday night.

Despite the loss, Kearny made it an enjoyable summer for the coaches, fans, and community, finishing the season as District 14 champions in addition to their appearance in the state tournament.

Thank you Kearny Majors Baseball All-Stars for a great season!
