Kearny Police Report – May 23, 2018

  According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates.

April 29

  Theft was reported at the Gila River.

April 30

  Criminal damage was reported in the 300 block of Hartford Rd.

  Shannon Lagunas, 20, was arrested in the area of Hwy. 177 and Old Ray Rd. and was charged with driving on a suspended license. She was cited and released.

  Rachael Apodaca, 49, was arrested and charged with trespassing. She was also arrested on a warrant. She was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail in Florence.

May 2

  An accident without injuries was reported in the 100 block of Tilbury Dr.

  Sexual abuse was reported to Kearny Police.

May 3

  Abelardo Perez, 24, was arrested in the 300 block of Danbury Rd. and was charged with theft and possession of marijuana. He was also arrested on a warrant. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

  Cassandra Godoy, 29, was arrested in the 300 block of Danbury Rd. on a warrant and was charged with theft. She was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

  Criminal damage was reported in the 300 block of Hartford Rd.

May 4

  Criminal damage was reported in the 200 block of Hartford Rd.

  Glenn Woodland, 32, was arrested on a felony warrant. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

  Orlando Chee, 44, was arrested in the 300 block of Alden Rd. on a warrant. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

May 5

  Richard Allen Glenn, 47, was arrested and charged with driving on a revoked license. He was cited and released.

May 6

  An accident without injuries was reported at milepost 145 on Hwy. 177.

May 7

  Kristy Sims, 36, was arrested at milepost 144 on Hwy. 177 on a warrant. She was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

May 13

  Amanda Marie Acosta, 41, was arrested in the 1000 block of Tilbury Rd. and was charged with shoplifting. She was cited and released.

May 17

  An unattended death was reported in the 300 block of Essex Rd.

  Marcos Arbizo, 37, was arrested in the 100 block of Tilbury Dr. on a warrant. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

May 19

  Justin Johnson, 36, was arrested in the 900 block of Tilbury Dr. on two warrants. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

  Calls not listed include: ambulance request (41), traffic stop (57), 911 hang-up/open line (2), animal/cattle complaint (10), welfare check (4), agency assist (7), found property (1), extra patrol request (1), threatening/intimidation (1), vacation house check (2), fire (1), abandoned vehicle/parking violation (6), disturbance (7), open door (1), suspicious activity (6), citizen/motorist assist (10), unkempt yard (1), failure to obtain solicitor’s license (1) and trespassing (2).
