The Smith family of Hayden lost their home and all their belongings on Tuesday night when a fire engulfed their home on the 700 block of Hayden Avenue.

Hayden Fire Department responded to the blaze with the assistance of Winkleman Fire, Kearny Fire and Pinal Rural Fire.  Crews were onsite mopping up the blaze well into Wednesday afternoon.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Local residents have taken up collections for the family via physical donations of clothes and housewares but also financial contributions through Venmo.  Venmo donations can be sent to B-Smith-32.  The family has two teenage children and two adults.
