Copper Corridor Economic Development Coalition

The Copper Corridor Economic Development Coalition is working with the United States Department of Agriculture – Rural Development to help local residents apply for Section 504 Single Family Housing Repair Loan and Grant program.  The 504 program provides loans to very-low income homeowners to repair, improve or modernize their homes or grants to elderly very-low income homeowners to remove health and safety hazards.

These funds are available to low income residents who are 62 years of age and over.  Jim Schenck a contractor with the CCEDC is available to meet with local residents to see if they qualify for the program.  There are both grants and low interest loans available to residents of the Copper Corridor.  Amounts of the loans and grants can vary from $1,000 to $7,500 depending on the loan qualification.  Grants are only available to those homeowners who are 62 years of age and older.  To learn more about the 504 program or set an appointment with the Jim Schenck to conduct a pre-qualification interview please contact Jim directly at 661-645-1864 or you may call the CCEDC at 520-490-8433.

The CCEDC serves the residents and communities of Eastern Pinal and Southern Gila County including Aravaipa, Dudleyville, Hayden, Kearny, Mammoth, Oracle San Manuel, Superior, Winkelman and all unincorporated areas of the Copper Corridor region.

The CCEDC is offering this service to help local residents access federal dollars that can help them improve their homes.  Local contractors wishing to provide services to the approved homeowners should contact Mila Besich-Lira at 520-827-0676.
