  According to state law, police may arrest suspected offenders by two methods. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damage amounts are estimates.

  Items are given to The Superior Sun by the Superior Police Department and reflect information available at the time the report is compiled.

Jan. 11

  Earlene M. Gutierrez, 20, Superior, was arrested in the 100 block of Lobb Ave. and was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail in Florence.

Jan. 13

  Dustin D. Daniels, 39, Superior, was arrested in the area of Copper St. and Kellner Ave. on a felony probation warrant issued out of the Gila County Sheriff’s Office. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

Jan. 15

  Search and rescue was requested at milepost 165 on Hwy. 177. No report was taken.

  Alleged child abuse was reported in the 300 block of Palma St.

Jan. 16

  Briana T. Delgado, 27, Superior, was arrested in the 300 block of Kiser St. and was charged with aggravated assault/DV (domestic violence), assault/DV, disorderly conduct/DV and criminal damage/DV. She was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

Ramon B. Pacheco, 40, Mesa, was arrested in the 1100 block of Hwy. 60 and was charged with driving on a suspended license and possession of a suspended driver’s license. He was cited and released.

Jan. 17

  Christina C. Gutierrez, 47, Miami, was arrested in the 800 block of Hwy. 60 and was charged with driving on a suspended license. She was cited and released.

  Calls not listed include traffic stop (14), disturbance (2), agency assist (6), information (5), welfare check (1), suspicious activity (3), field interview (2), alarm drop (1), civil matter (1), fire/smoke (2), attempt to locate (1), medical (1) and found property (1).

The Superior Police and Fire Departments have contracted all dispatch services to the Pinal County Sheriff (POLICE) and Florence PD (FIRE). As a result of these changes, you need to know some new phone numbers.
